Company History
Since its foundation in 1991, Kabel Sterner has evolved from a small family business into a leading provider in the cable and wire industry. Continuous growth, innovative developments, and a clear vision have shaped the company and sustainably strengthened its market position.
Over three decades, we have set technological milestones, steadily expanded our portfolio, and adapted to new challenges. From the first production site to pioneering innovations and national expansion – our development has always been driven by progress and close cooperation with our customers.

Founded by Richard Sterner
Start of production: 700 m² production area, 100 m² office space – Richard and Helga Sterner with 2 employees
Leasing of an additional 600 m² of production space
Appointment of Erich Ullmann as an additional Managing Director
Purchase of a 4,543 m² commercial property in Gaimersheim, Carl-Benz-Ring 3
Start of construction for production and warehouse facilities with 2,400 m² and 1,800 m² respectively, and a 2-story office wing with 200 m²
Relocation to the new premises and purchase of an adjacent commercial property. Production area for stranding and braiding with 2,000 m²
Moving into the new warehouses
First sales representative, Mr. Accorsi
Michael Sterner becomes Managing Director
20th company anniversary
Purchase and occupancy of the neighboring property with its associated hall (1,200 m²)
30th company anniversary
FEP core extrusion line
Start of construction for a high-bay warehouse with an area of 980 m²
Completion and commissioning of the new high-bay warehouse
Andreas Wittmann is appointed as the second Managing Director
Various modifications to the site and buildings in preparation for production expansion with a new extruder
