2. Note on the Legal Framework

The website currently serves for information and contact; an online contract conclusion (shop/checkout) is not intended. Therefore, this accessibility information is provided voluntarily. Upon the introduction of transaction-related online services, the requirements of the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) in conjunction with EN 301 549 will be taken into account. Note: As soon as we offer transaction-related online services, we will supplement this information with the details required by the BFSG, including the responsible market surveillance authority.

3. Our Target Standard

We adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level A/AA (prospectively WCAG 2.2 AA) according to EN 301 549. This includes, among other things:
  • Semantic headings and landmarks (header, nav, main, footer)
  • Full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators
  • Sufficient color contrasts and reflow/zoom up to 200% without loss of functionality
  • Alternative texts for meaningful graphics and useful alt attributes
  • Accessible forms with labels, understandable error messages, and status indicators

4. Status of Accessibility

According to internal review, the website is largely accessible. Individual limitations are known (see Section 5) and will be addressed successively.

5. Known Inaccessible Content

  • Third-party embeds (e.g., video players) may have limitations in keyboard operation or labeling depending on the embedded widget. We are evaluating accessible player solutions and will provide subtitles/transcripts if necessary.
  • Older PDF documents may not yet be fully accessible. Upon request, we will provide accessible alternatives.

6. Disproportionate Burden

An immediate, complete reprocessing of all old PDFs would involve disproportionate effort. We prioritize frequently used documents and will revise/replace them step by step.

7. Accessible Alternatives

Content without subtitles/transcripts will be provided upon request in a suitable format in a timely manner. For complex media, we provide descriptive summaries.
